I disagree. Pigs are not nearly as intelligent as they are claimed to be. Our livestock guarding herding dogs are far more intelligent and my three year old kids are far, far more intelligent than pigs. Pig intelligence is a myth. They're very good at being pigs but they are very poor at cooperative behaviors and other things that humans, dogs and dolphins are very good at. Don't ask a fish to climb trees. Pigs are also not fast and have very poor stamina. I can easily run them to ground. They're also very easy to herd. We do this all the time since we manage pigs out on our mountain pastures.
