When you first get a piglet do you need to keep it indoors with you? If so how long?

Are they like dogs were they will whine for the first couple of weeks?

Our piglets go right into their lot. They are kept there till they get a little size on them, then they are turned out to pasture. They come back to the lot for feed, water and mud hole.

Not that I know of...

We have a acre lot with a small house that we fill with hay/straw. Here they will learn where they are to be feed and watered.
